Yuexi is an international student currently pursuing MSc in human nutrition after receiving her BS of nutritional science at UBC. Passionate about nutrition-related research aiming to improve human health, she joined Dr. Stefanska’s epigenetics journal club two years ago and became interested in the epigenetics of dietary compounds and cancer. Last year, she contributed to lab experiments that resulted in co-authorship of her first manuscript. Currently, she shadows senior members of the lab in preparation for her MSc research that starts in the fall. Besides academic pursuits, Yuexi is interested in traditional Chinese medicine and hopes to introduce it to everyone she knows. She also loves cooking, enjoying desserts, and taking care of her loved ones.
